My goal for this course is that it be relevant to your life.
You live at a moment in time unlike any other in Ukrainian history. In addition, this is the first season of your experience with the University. And you stand at the precipice of adulthood. Few claim that common reality. Consequently, with so much out of your control, it is vital to offer a forum for what you do have control over. To these ends, the main focus of this course will be to provide a place to improve English (written, spoken, comprehension) while contemplating, discussing, and writing about critical ongoing issues of your world. Some of our topics will be political in nature, others cultural and societal. We will also keep the door open for things that matter to you personally - just because. That way, you help shape the curriculum. Regarding the war, since it is predominant in your life, we will reserve space for study, questions, complications, and any issues that you have regarding it.
